1. What we collect

We collect only what's needed to issue, validate, and support your license.

From you, on purchase

Email address (for license delivery and renewal reminders)
Domain name (the license is bound to this domain)
Payment metadata via the payment processor (we never see your card number)
Optional: name, country (for invoicing)
Optional partner or referral code (to attribute the first purchase and calculate commission)

From the plugin, automatically

License key and bound domain (sent to our server on each license check, ~once per 24h)
Plugin version and a hashed build identifier
WordPress version and PHP version (for compatibility diagnostics)
Hashed IP of the calling site (one-way SHA-256, used for abuse detection)

What we DO NOT collect

Your site content, post titles, page bodies, user data, or comments
Your visitors' personal data, cookies, or analytics events
Your audit findings, scan results, or AI-augmented prompts (these stay on your server)
Your WordPress admin password or any credentials

2. Why we collect it

License delivery + renewal: email is the only channel
Domain binding: enforces the per-domain license model
Abuse detection: hashed IP + check frequency reveals license sharing
Compatibility: WP/PHP version helps us prioritize bug fixes for the versions you actually run

3. Where it lives

License records are stored on Cloudflare D1 (SQLite, encrypted at rest, multi-region). Email broadcasts go through a transactional provider (Resend or similar). Manual payments are confirmed by Aetos staff. When card checkout is available, payment data is handled by the approved processor or Merchant of Record named at checkout; Aetos does not store full card details.

4. How long we keep it

Active licenses: kept for the lifetime of the license + 2 years after expiry (for refund / dispute windows)
License-check logs: 90 days, then aggregated and original rows deleted
Tamper-detection logs: 1 year (for repeat-abuse pattern matching)
Email records: until you unsubscribe or request deletion

5. Who we share with

We don't sell your data. We share with sub-processors only as needed to operate:

Cloudflare — hosting + database + edge network
Resend / Postmark — transactional email
The payment provider named at checkout — payment processing, invoicing, tax, and fraud handling as applicable
GitHub — plugin distribution (releases are public; per-license downloads are signed by us)
Google — marketing-site analytics and consented advertising measurement (Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Google Ads)
Microsoft — marketing-site analytics (Clarity)
Meta — consented advertising measurement when the Meta integration is enabled

6. Your rights

Email support@aetosseo.com to:

Get a copy of everything we have on you
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your account and all associated data (does not refund the license; see Terms § 4)
Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails (renewal reminders are transactional and stay on)

7. Cookies & analytics on aetosseo.com

To understand which content actually helps visitors and to improve the site, the marketing site uses Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity (aggregated interaction and heatmap data), and Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless). If you explicitly accept all optional tracking, the site may also load Google Ads and Meta measurement tags to attribute visits, checkout starts, leads, and completed purchases to a campaign. These tools may set or read cookies and collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate region, device, and referrer. We do not sell this data. The customer dashboard uses one first-party session cookie for authentication.

Your choice (consent). On your first visit you can reject optional tools, allow analytics only, or accept analytics and advertising measurement. Optional tools stay off until your choice permits them. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization stay denied unless you choose “Accept all”. You can change your choice at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer.

Partner attribution. When you arrive with an approved referral code, we keep that code in first-party session storage for the current browser-tab session and add it to Aetos purchase links. It is not a cross-site identifier, does not contain personal data, and does not create a third-party affiliate cookie. The validated code is stored with an order only if you submit the purchase form.

8. Children

Aetos SEO is a B2B tool. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes

We post updates to this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes get an email to active license holders 14 days before they take effect.

10. Governing law

Egyptian law, Cairo jurisdiction. EU/UK customers retain GDPR/UK-GDPR rights; we honor data-subject requests via the email above.
